Creating Pinoy version of hollywood or international movies or series has been very popular in the Philippines today, and on the spotlight right now is non other than the fantasy novel about the life of a young wizard, Harry Potter and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry's struggle against Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to become immortal, overthrow the wizard governing body known as the Ministry of Magic, and subjugate all wizards and muggles, a reference term that means non-magical people.

The movie series had 7 books and 7 movie adaptation which became a hit from young viewers and novel enthusiast because of its very surreal world of magic and wizardy.

On a twitter hashtag, using the hashtag #PinoyHarryPotter, twitter account named Macoy Averilla (@macoypatotoy) posted on what is on his dream cast would look like if it will be made in the Philippines with Filipino actors and actresses. He subsequently shared the twitter thread on his account both on facebook and twitter and the young netizens and Harry Potter fanatics had something to say about it.

The possible pinoy version of the fictional movie includes Ronald Valdez as Albus Dumbledore, Pen Medina as Sirius Black, Connie Reyes as Dolores Umbridge, Dagul as Professor Filius Flitwick, Kim Chui as Cho Chang, Carlo Aquino as Ron Weasley, Anne Curtis as Hermione Granger, PNP Chief Bato Dela Rosa as Lord Voldemort and Ryan Agoncillo got the lead role as Harry Potter.

The success of the books and films has allowed  Harry Potter franchise to expand, with numerous derivative works, a travelling exhibition that premiered in Chicago in 2009, a studio tour in London that opened in 2012, a digital platform on which J.K. Rowling updates the series with new information and insight, and a pentalogy of spin-off films premiering in November 2016 with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, among many other developments.

Most recently, themed attractions, collectively known as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, have been built at several Universal Parks & Resorts amusement parks around the world.

Truly the magical and fantasy of the film really gave the imagination of every pinoy to create our own version. Lets see if this will work soon! For now, let's just put this on our dreams and make the miracle thing happen. Cheers! Wingardium Leviosa!
