Remember Hero Angeles, the Grand Teen Questor in ABS-CBN’s reality show, Star Circle Quest, back in 2004? That young male star and the Star Circle Quest Batch 1 Grand Questor Hero Angeles is a certified Miniature Artist now!


He began his journey to stardom in 2004, as the winner of a reality television show. Following a series of romantic-comedy flicks with his then on-screen partner Sandara Park, he disappeared from limelight in 2005. Since then, Angeles has kept a low profile.



But nooooww, Hero had a major good comeback with his newest passion project which recreating dishes through miniature clay sculptures. 

Hero and his impressive Miniature Art was featured in a video by an International Channel History Channel where he is seen doing his mini figures.

“He noticed that when artworks are small, people pay more attention to the details,” says the text in the video. “That’s why he makes miniature art.”



On that video, Hero also shared that last 2016, He created a video series called "Magnifyed", where each of his painting measure between 1.5MM to 12MM only, how small was that right?. The actor and now miniature artist also said that the smallest painting he did was only 1.5MM to 2MM. Hero focuses mostly on animals and nature like birds, foxes, pineapples, elephants, and even skulls have been seen as subjects in his paintings! 



Isn't AMAAAAAZIIINNGGG right?



The 33 year old actor created a miniature food art last year, 2017, using a polymer clay.

He tried various tools and baked the clay for 20 minutes. 


Hero shared his most complicated dish he made because of their tiny details needed to be done, his most complicated are   shrimp in sour soup, or sinigang na hipon, as known to us Filipinos! 



A total of 60 impressive miniature food art was done already. It includes many filipino famous dishes and local dessert like puto bumbong, roast chicken, pichi-pichi, tapsilog, pandesal, lumpia, and what looks like other savory Filipino dishes like kare-kare! 



And the best part why he focuses more on the filipino dish? Because he simply wants to promote the filipino dishes that is surely delicious and mouth watering! 



His creations were on a display right now on his Instagram Account with a username "ARTCETERO" which stands on the portmanteau of the words "art," "etcetera," and his name, "Hero."

Hero branded his creation to popularize and to be well known how and what are the filipino dishes since most of us always likes to eat. He mentioned that he had seen international miniature who were doing the food as an art and that's what he came up from sculpting also dishes in Filipino style. 


"Diba ang Pilipino, mahilig kumain, ganyan. And then 'yung nakikita ko sa online social media accounts ng mga international miniature artists, ginagawa nila, puro Japanese food, American food. Sabi ko, 'Gagawa ako, 'yung makikilala 'yung Filipino,'" he said.


The Actor has also plans to feature and create a miniature painting exhibit, he partly laughed about it and the thought that his works might take up a little space only. 


"Gusto ko 'yung mag-pay attention sila sa small artworks. Kasi usually pag pumupunta ka sa art galleries, 'yung iba na-observe ko, dinadaanan lang talaga 'yung malaking artwork, eh ang hirap gawin noon, sabi ko. Ako, ina-appreciate ko talaga, pero sabi ko, gagawa talaga ako ng artwork na titingnan talaga nila," he said.



Some of his fans have also got interest and ordered his micro sculpture creations for souvenirs and keychains. But Hero admits that he still have difficulty to produce a high volume of production since he make dishes only by hand. 



Angeles possibly doing workshops for those aspirants and talented hand like he has. 



"Mag-ipon ka ng maraming pasensya 'pag gumawa ka niyan," he said as an advice. "Parang pag nagluluto ka, parang pag nagbe-bake ka, gagawin mo siya step by step, ganoon din. Ikaw 'yung gagawa ng ingredients isa-isa."


It's definitely a talent, since Hero studied Fine Arts (Visual Communication) at the University of the Philippines and the reason why he was easily fallen in love with the art form. 


Aside from being a new miniature artist, Angeles will be expecting to continue and pursue his acting career as he have a new project with ABSCBN together with, Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Yam Concepcion and Yen Santos, entitled "Love Will Lead You Back."
