Disappointing: Bus Refused to Give a Ride on an Igorot Tribe Member

One of the buses from Solid North Transit Inc. draws flak from netizens after refusing to give a ride to Igorot passenger.

In 2015, the World Value Survey conducted a study and found out that the Philippines was among the most racist countries in the world. A concerned netizen named  Dhrins Laurente Napeek posted a photo of a certain Igorot who was allegedly discriminated by a bus driver by refusing to give him a ride on the bus. The bus company draws flak from netizens in the social media.

Netizen quickly reacted and expressed their sympathy and disappointment against the Bus Line Solid North Transit Inc because the Indigenous brother had suffered rejection and discrimination from his fellow countrymen. 

If these were all true based on the photos grabbed by the Netizen, the Bus conductor will face corresponding charges for violating the Senate Bill 2814 or known as "Anti Discrimination Acts of 2011" which was sponsored by Senator Loren Legarda. 

The Senate Bill 2814 would penalize people who will commit acts of racial discrimination in employment, education, delivery of goods, facilities and services, accommodation, transportation, media, and in search and investigatory activities.

The violators could be jailed for 9 months up to 12 years or would be charged a fine of P100, 000 to P500, 000.

Napeek has already deleted his previous post and posted a new one to avoid conflict with other netizens.
