Ni-Sentimo, Walang Gagastusin ang Duterte Admin para sa P3-Bilyong Makati-BGC Skytrain! / Image credit to the owners

Sisimulan na ang proyektong Skytrain monorail ng Infracorp Development Incorporated pagkat binigyan na ng “original proponent status” sila ng Department of Transportation.

Ang proyektong ito’y magkokonekta sa dalawang natuturing “major business districts” na Fort Bonifacio Global City at sa Makati City. Dalawang kilometro’t limang minuto ang haba ng riles at biyahe ng naturing monorail. Nasa 60,000 hanggang 100,000 namang pasahero ang tinatayang maseserbisyohan ng nasabing tren.

Ikinatuwa naman ito ng korporasyong magsasagawa dito pagkat kanilang ito’y sumasalamin sa katapatan ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa kampanya nito para sa patuloy na pagpapatayo ng imprastruktura sa bansa.

Win-win na sitwasyon ang konstruksyon ng tren na ito pagkat walang-gastos na magmamay-ari ang gobyerno sa nasabing monorail habang ang mag-oopera rito ay ang Infracorp Development Incorporated. Tinatayang nasa dalawang taon ang aabutin ng konstruksyon ng nasabing monorail at ito’y tinatayang magbubukas para sa pampublikong serbisyo sa 2021.

Isang malaking hakbang ang proyektong ito sa ikauunlad ng Pilipinas. Malaki rin ang benipisyong madadala ng monorail na ito para sa mga pasaherong mapapadali ang pag-cocommute sa pagitan ng dalawang nasabing lungsod at baka sakaling mapaluwag nito ang trapiko rito.
