PCOO Pinaghahanda na ang mga Local Registrars Para sa National ID na Maaaring Ilunsad Ngayong Taon

Matagal ng inaabangan ng mga Pilipino na mailunsad ang National ID, dahil tila ang Pilipinas nalang ata ang hindi gumagamit nito.

Pinaniniwalaan pa naman na malaki ang maitutulong nito sa bawat isa dahil bukod sa nakalagay na lahat ng impormasyon ng pagkakakilanlan ng isang tao, at maari pa itong makatulong sa seguridad ng bawat isa.

Kaya naman pinaghahanda na ng Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) ang mga Local Civil registrars para sa pagpapatupad ng National ID System, matapos na ipasa ng Senado ang third at final reading ng bill na ito noong Lunes.

At ayon kay PCOO Assistant Secretary for Legislative and Special Concerns Marie Rafael Banaag, sa ngayon may nakalaan ng P2 billion para sa proyektong ito.

Ang bawat ID ay mayroong unique reference number na ibibigay sa bawat Pilipino at nakalagay din dito ang lahat ng mga importanteng impormasyon tulad ng pangalan, birth date and place, address, sex, civil status, signature at latest picture.

Samantala magiging malaki din ang partisipasyon ng mga taga local registry dahil sila ang naka antas na magregister nito.
