Sr. Patricia Fox Tuluyan ng Pinadeport, Ngunit Hindi pa daw Tapos ang Laban

Tinuluyan na nga ng Bureau of Immigration ang pagpapadeport kay Sr. Patricia Fox at ayon sa ahensiya dapat na daw itong umalis ng bansa bago o sa araw ng May 25, 2018.

Si Fox ay isang Australian missionary na nanatili dito sa Pilipinas sa loob ng 27 years. Siya daw ay tumutulong sa mga magsasaka at sa mga mahihirap.

Ngunit dumating ang araw na kinailangan siyang paimbestigahan ni Pangulong Duterte dahil ayon dito kinikitaan daw ito ng "disorderly conduct" at bukod pa dito tila kinakalaban nito ang administrasyon at minsan ding daw sumali sa isang rally na laban kay Pangulong Duterte.

Kung matatandaan ito ang mga katagang binitawan ni Duterte na patukoy kay Fox "You come here and insult us, you trample with our sovereignty. That will never happen,".

Bukod dito sinabihan din ito ni Duterte na mayroon itong "foul mouth" at wala din itong karapatan na maging isa sa kritiko niya.

Ganun pa man kahit na anong paliwanag ni Fox, hindi padin niya nalusutan ang pagpapadeport sa kanya. At para sa kanya hindi pa daw tapos ang laban. Dahil kahit na siya ay pinadeport ipag-papatuloy padin niya ang kanyang appeal kahit na daw ito ay umabot pa ng Supreme Court.

Sa isang conference ito ang kanyang sinabi: “The thought of leaving is very difficult, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to fight this deportation order. I keep thinking, if this is happening to me, how much more the people in the countryside, in Mindanao, especially (those) under martial (law) that I talked to,”
