To abate public fear regarding medical
missions, the Philippine National Police (PNP) officially declared chain
messages regarding terrorist group ISIS spreading AIDS as a hoax.
"The PNP has previously declared as
hoax this post because this is a mere chain text. Although poorly scripted, we
ask the public not to share said post as this may create unnecessary fear among
gullible individuals," PNP spokesman Chief Supt. John Bulalacao said.

These messages varied on the strategy
supposedly used by the terrorist group to spread the H!V virus with some of the
texts saying that the !S!S pretends to be government doctors conducting a free
check up and would poke infected needles into the victim guising it as checking
on the victim’s blood sugar.
Some texts would says the ISIS rove around
medical centers and offer free vaccines which contain the deadly AIDS virus.
The viral message reads:
"Paki inform mo mga friends nyo na my
nag iikot daw kunyari sa medical center cla kunyari anti tetanus o anupaman wag
daw magpabakuna kc mdami daw nagkakalat member ng muslim isis group iinject daw
aids virus pampatay sa mga tao para mkaganti sa gobyerno wag kamo cla mag
entertain ng mga ganon at dlikado post u na now.”
Philippine News Agency (PNA) made a cursory
check over Facebook and found out that similar messages have been spreading in
other parts of the world since March this year.
